American Crepe is a lightweight 145 gsm crepe woven in a plain-weave crinkle construction from 97% polyester with 3% elastane for a touch of recovery. The surface is matte with the characteristic pebbled crepe texture, and the hand reads dry and structured, giving a controlled fluid-to-firm drape with a gentle 2-way stretch (about 5% warp and weft) that aids fit and comfort. Opaque and stable, it is purpose-built for office and tailoring, eveningwear, casual separates and general apparel such as trousers, dresses and blouses that need clean lines without rigidity. Offered at 150 cm width and machine washable at 30C, it is an easy-care, wrinkle-resistant workhorse and one of two qualities in the line, supporting consistent repeat ordering.
