Muslin is a 100% cotton double-weave gauze, constructed from two lightly bonded layers that give a soft, airy hand with gentle crinkle and excellent breathability. At a light 110 gsm it is semi-transparent with a soft, relaxed drape, prioritising comfort and air flow over structure. These qualities make it a natural choice for childrenswear and baby items, swaddles, casual summer apparel and home-decor pieces such as light curtaining and napkins. The fabric is print-ready and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, an important reassurance for skin-contact and infant use; care is straightforward with a 40 degree wash, no bleach, medium iron and tumble low, and shrinkage is held to 5% or less.
